This makes sense. Recently I have noticed that more hiring managers are receptive to someone changing industries (personal interview experience). It was different 10 years ago - at that time they would not give me a chance if I was coming from outside.
I guess hiring managers are understanding that candidates are having shorter and shorter tenures.
