What Would Make Your Business More Productive?

UPDATE: Since we launched the contest yesterday, a few people have asked me about my experience using the VersaLink MFP for my own business. Well, since I just received it (as evidenced by the video), I haven't had it in my office for too long, but I did have the opportunity to play around with it today. As I suspected, the printer was easy to set up. I was grateful for this because like many of you, I don't have IT guys or gals around to assist me. 

My needs aren't exotic, and the main thing I wanted to do was use Print and Scan for Dropbox for working on the fly.  I already have the Dropbox app on my phone and I wanted to try and print something from my car. For those of you who don't know, I just got a new smart Prius and it's hooked up to my iPhone. Bless the Internet of Things. In any event, I also wanted to use the App Gallery to download the Easy Translator Service.  And at some point, I promise to figure out how my car can speak directly to the VersaLink without the phone as an intermediary!

In any case, I was able to direct my Dropbox account to print an especially long document so it was ready by the time I got home. The print quality, as I expected, was quite great, and wow, MFPs are FAST. In all transparency, I've never had a multifunction printer before so I was a bit unprepared for the VersaLink's rigor. 

When I attended the ConnectKey launch event in Rochester last year, I was most impressed by the new translation services offered by Xerox, so I wanted to try those even though I don't have a true need for translation in my business right now. But the Easy Translator Services app sure was helpful in my personal life - I scanned part of a children's book to my PC and then had the VersaLink print it out in Spanish. The translation wasn't 100 percent perfect, but it served the purpose of giving my kids a chance to practice reading in Spanish.

If you have a chance to use any of these apps alongside a ConnectKey-enabled MFP, I'd be curious about your experiences. Xerox and I have a long-term partnership and I would love to share feedback from small business owners as they seek to improve small business workflows even more!
